The leadership continuum describes the project’s dimensions of scope, complexity, and change management, overlaying the degree of technical and leadership focus.
At one end of the continuum, the project scope is limited and simple with targeted change, requiring us to have a strong technical focus with some leadership. As the project scope, complexity, and change increases along the continuum, we need to balance our focus on both technical aspects and leadership.
At the other end of the continuum, the project scope becomes broad, complex, and involves transformational change, requiring us to have a strong leadership focus with some technical focus.
